School Ministries

School Ministries aim to minister to children and young people so they hear God's word and have a chance to accept the truth about Jesus. The ministry nurtures and grows young Christians in their faith and links them into their local church.

ISCF is the well-known name for Scripture Union's High School ministry. ISCF Groups meet each week in public high schools to study the Bible, and share with and encourage each other in Christian faith.

SUPA clubs meet regularly at lunch or after school to learn about Jesus from the Bible. These clubs, like ISCF groups provide a community in which the children can build peer relationships and have adult mentors.

Leaders include Christian teachers and Christians from the local community with SU providing support, training, encouragement and ministry resources.

Family Missions

Family Missions are one of Australia’s biggest outreach events. Family Missions give the opportunity to thousands of short term missionaries to reach out to the people who holiday in NSW. This is a real missionary experience, communicating the Good News to your neighbours on holiday. In the relaxed holiday mode, busy Australians slow down enough to engage in talking about the things of the kingdom and observe how the mission team members live for a week alongside them in the same caravan park.

Bible Ministries

One of the foundational ministries of the SU movement is Bible reading notes - SU produces daily Bible reading guides for all ages.

SU's Resources For Ministry unit and Inverell Book Centre offer a comprehensive range of resources for ministry and outreach with children, young people and their families as well as Christian books, videos, and CDs.

Camps

There is a sense of camaraderie that comes from being a part of a group that overcomes a challenge, achieves a significant goal or just shares a lot of fun. Through that connection, we build firm bridges for sharing the Good News of Jesus and encouraging people to establish a pattern of spending regular time with God. SU Camps feature fun and adventure activities including; bushwalking, cross-country skiing, cycle touring, agricultural work and farming holidays, fishing and diving, sports and HSC study.
